Supporting Access to Dental Care Through the Canadian Dental Care Plan
The cost of dental care can be a barrier for some individuals and families. Victoria Trail Dental participates in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a federal program designed to help improve access to essential dental services for eligible Canadians.
If you or a family member do not have private dental insurance, the CDCP may help support your dental care needs. Our team is available to help answer general questions about the program and assist with coordinating care once coverage is confirmed.
Who Is Eligible for the CDCP
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is available to eligible Canadians who meet the following criteria:
- No existing private dental insurance
- Adjusted family net income under $90,000
- Resident of Canada for tax purposes
- Filed an income tax return for the previous year
If you receive dental benefits through another government program, you may still qualify. In some cases, the CDCP can coordinate with other programs to help avoid gaps in coverage.
